Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the starting property of a heat pipe, wherein upper side thereof is a condensate part and the lower side thereof is a heat absorbing part, at the time the heat absorbing rate is low, by disposing a capillary tube, of which upper end is closed and the lower end is opened, to the inside wall of heat absorbing part so as to be soaked into the operating liquid.
CONSTITUTION: The capillary tube 4, wherein its upper end is closed and the lower end is opened, is disposed to the inside wall of heat absorbing part 1b of a heat pipe 1, in parallel with a longitudinal axis and soaked into the operating liquid 3. The heat pipe is used with its heat absorbing part 1b directing downward and its condensate part 1a upward. When the operating liquid 3 is evaporated in the heat absorbing part 1b, the operating liquid in the capillary tube 4 is also evaporated to increase the internal pressure. Accordingly, the steam is discharged into the operating liquid 3 as air bubbles from the open end, the internal pressure in the heat absorbing part 1b rises to produce difference in pressure of the condensate part 1a, and it brings the heat pipe into starting. Thus, the starting property of heat pipe at the time of low absorbing rate of heat can be improved.
