Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the number of vector registers easily while keeping the number of input signal lines of a selector constant, by putting a fixed restriction on designation of the vector register. CONSTITUTION:Vectors registers (a), (b)-(d) are stored in a memory element 1i of a memory device Mi. These registers are addressed by outputs of a section register 5i and an address register 2. The register 5i holds the output of a selector 6i. Outputs 71-73 of upper bits on each filed of an instruction register 11 are inputted to the selector 6i as data to be selected. As selection control lines for them, outputs 8i-10i obtained by decoding lower m bits of each field of the register 11 by decoders 8-10 are inputted. If register designating fields R2 and R3 designate vector registers in devices Mi and Mk, elements designated by the address register are read out to selectors 30 and 40.
