CONSTITUTION:The thyristors U-Z, A1-D3 of a rectifier 2 and an inverter 4 connected to an AC power source 1 are driven by the pulses from pulse output circuits 3U-3Z, 5A1-5D3 connected to pulse generators 11, 12 to supply a current to a load 8. Since the inhibit gates 19U-19D3 are opened in the normally operating time, the pulses from distributors 18, 18 are inputted to pulse output circuits 3U- 5D3. When the load current detected by a current detector 21 becomes lower than the preset value, the minimum current detecting circuit 20 produces a pulse output to close the inhibit gates 19U-92D3 to set the inputs to the pulse generator 3U- 5D3 to zero and to stop the circuit 2 and the inverter 4 in operation.
