Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the electric performance of a submarine relay device, by connecting the earth and a console of a circuit unit so as to make the earth potential of a plurality of circuit units same as that of an external pressure resistance console of the submarine relay device. CONSTITUTION:A submarine relay device receives AC power via a feeder 2 of an optical fiber cable 1. The feeder 2 is connected to isolation type power supply transformers 30 and 31 for power reception, and a plurality of secondary windings of the power transformer prepared to provide required nunmber of necessary voltage for the circuit units 4 and 5. A plurality of secondary windings are provided with rectifying circuits respectively and each output of the rectifying circuit is applied to the circuit units 4 and 5. The earth in the circuit of the units 4 and 5 is isolated with the power transformers 30 and 31, from the feeder 2 the circuit earth inside the circuit units is incorporated and the earth potential G of an external console 9 is made common to it.
