Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the appearance and to reduce the flux deterioration by applying a phosphor film in reverse direction against the applying direction of an alumina film. CONSTITUTION:After forming a transparent conductive film on the inner face of a glass tube 1 it is held by a holding tool in vertical direction, then an alumina suspension liquid is allowed to flow down through a nozzle 2 from the upper end 1a of the glass tube 1 to coat the inner face. Thereafter hot air is forced to blow to form an alumina film on the inner face of the glass tube 1. Then the holding tool is rotated by 180 deg. to exchange the upper and lower sections of the glass tube 1 and a phosphor suspension liquid is allowed to flow down through a nozzle from the upper end 1b of the glass tube 1 to apply the phosphor material film.
