Abstract
PURPOSE:To simply and economically obtain a discharge tube with an extreme longer full length than its tube diameter by forming a both-end sealing type discharge tube in which both ends of two rod type electrodes are sealed together with a glass tube and effectively using glass bead. CONSTITUTION:At least three or more A to D of glass bead 1 are located at the proper position of two rod type electrodes 2 and 3 which are arranged in parallel and fused by burners. They are also fixed while the two electrodes 2 and 3 being kept in parallel state. This structure body is inserted in a glass tube 4. The inner part of this glass tube is discharged and rare gas such as neon is supplied to it. A base structure body 5 is obtained by fusing the two beads A and D which are located at outermost end of the glass bead 1 and the glass tube 3. Then the unnecessary part of the two electrodes 2 and 3 is cut. As a result, a discharge lamp with an extreme long full length can simply and economically be obtained.
