Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the number of production steps of the heat exchanger by a method wherein one sheet is cut in a predetermined shape and bent to define a number of heat exchanging element zones and also define ventilating passages alternately in the circumferential direction. CONSTITUTION:The elongated sheet 2 has a number of heat exchanging element zones 4a, 4b... arranged in continuation in the longitudinal direction, each zone abutting on lines 3a, 3b... in the short side direction of the sheet 2. The zone 4a includes in the center a narrow and rectangular zone 5a closed on the outer periphery and extending in the short side direction and on the both sides of the zone 5a rectangular heat exchanging zones 7a and 8a, both in continuation through lines 6a and 6b in the long side direction. This sheet 2 is bent along lines 6a, 6b and 9a in an upside-down V-shape and along lines 3a, 3b and 9b in a V-shape with respect to the plane shown in the drawing. Thus, the heat exchanger body 1 can be obtained in such a simple way. Further, the simply constructed heat exchanger is very easy to assemble.
