CONSTITUTION:In a steelmaking furnace, the lance for top-blowing is intermittently moved in a two-dimensional or three-dimensional manner so as to form a locus than a circle during the refining process. By this method, the slag forming properties during the refining and the dephosphorizing ratio are enhanced and the degree of oxidation of the slag is lowered. In additon, the yield of iron at the time of finishing the refining and that of Mn which is added in the form of a ferroalloy are enhanced.
