Abstract
PURPOSE:To receive an extrudate from an extruder without distorting the extrudate and at the same time to effectively cool sain extrudate, by arranging in front of the extruder a declined trough having a plurality of water discharging holes in the bottom and side walls, and discharging water into the trough. CONSTITUTION:In front of the extruder is arranged the trough 3 having a plurality of water discharging holes 6, 7 in the bottom 4 and the side walls 5 such that the forward end of the trough 3 is declined. The trough 3 is constructed to have a double wall, a releasing agentcontaining water, that is, a mold releasing water is supplied between the walls to be discharged into the inside of the trough 3 through the water discharging holes 6, 7, and therefore the extrudate 9 can be conveyed by the flow of the mold releasing water running in the trough 3. As the extrudate is conveyed by the releasing water, it is not required to apply a releasing agent, as there is no mechanical contact, the extrudate would not be distorted, and further as there is a cooling effect, the extrudate would not be vulcanized eccesively.
