PURPOSE:To understand sequence operation intutively by adding information on directional display in setting a sequence program and by providing a display part which indicates directivity. CONSTITUTION:After the position, logical operation kind, input elements, and output elements of a program to be set by a program setting part 4 are set, a directivity display element setting key 60 is operated and then data showing the movement direction of a body to be controlled during or after the execution of the program is set with ten keys. Each set element is stored in a temporary storage part 31 in a control part 3 and, through keying operation, transferred from the temporary storage part to a program storage part 5 to be stored. During the execution of the program, its contents are read out successively and logical operation and input and output processing are performed to make display based upon each set element. A directivity display element is applied to a decoder 80 to select one or more of display circuits 71-78 specified by a directivity display signal from the decoder 80, and some of the display elements 61-68 of a display device are turned on.
