Abstract

PURPOSE:To utilize light or heat energy of solar light or the like effectively with high degrees of freedom by filling an optical guide medium in the shell of an elllipsoid of revolution of a transparent thin layer and coupling the same to a light projector provided with an output window by means of a pipe filled with the optical guide medium. CONSTITUTION:An ellipsoid of revolution 11 is formed of a transparent and thin shell, and a transparent optical guide medium 12 which is liquid (water or the like) of a desired refractive index is filled in this and the condenser 11 is held by a support 13. On the other hand, a window 16 for a projector is provided in a support 15, and the medium 12 is filled in the condenser 11 and the projector which are coupled by way of an optical waveguide body 14 so that arbitrary places are lighted through the projecting window 16 by the light of a 100 condensing ratio condensed at the focus F of the condenser 12. It is also possible to divide the waveguides 14 to a number of pieces and to provide the projectors 16 at the respective leading ends thereof. At the time of transmitting light 19, the waveguide 14 is heated and therefore the medium 12 is cooled with a heat radiator 18 through a pipe 17 and is recirculated. In this way, light and heat are effectively utilized.
