Abstract

PURPOSE: To form a solar energy selective absorption film having a great solar energy absorption factor by subjecting the surface of a stainless steel plate to a dipping treatment in a solution of chromic acid and sulfuric acid added with sodium acetate.
CONSTITUTION: A high corrosion-resisting stainless steel plate of ferrite system having a 0.4 millimeter thickness is degreased and cleaned by an ordinary degreasing and cleaning method. Thereafter, the steel plate is subjected to a dipping treatment for an optimum coloring time with respect to respective bath compositions to form a colored film of a black color system. When the absorption factor based on the radiation brilliance of a black body of 6,000°K is calculated from a spectral reflection spectrum obtained by performing a spectral measurement with respect to the black film of the black color system, and the emissivity is calculated or the basis of the radiation brilliance of a black body of 400°K, the absorption factor more than 0.92 and the emissivity less than 0.18 are obtained in a bath containing 10W50g/l of sodium acetate. Thus, a film of an excellent characteristic is obtained.
