Abstract

NEW MATERIAL:A 1:2 type chromium complex compound shown by the formulaI (X1 and X2 are halogen or H; Z+ is H, Na, K, or NH4 ion).
EXAMPLE: A compound shown by the formula II.
USE: A colorant coloring aluminum subjected to anode oxidation into black with providing improved light resistance, heat resistance, eluation resistance, etc.
PROCESS: For example, 4,6-dinitro-2-aminophenol is diazotized and coupled with a corresponding 7-aminonaphthol-3-sulfonic acid (γ acid) in the presence of an alkali, to synthesize a monoazo compound first. This compound is then converted with a chromium imparting agent, e.g., chromium acetate, etc. into a complex, which is subjected to salting out with sodium acetate, etc., and filtered to give a wet cake. This cake is again dispersed into water and reacted with a benzoyl compound, e.g., 2,4-dichorobenzoyl chloride, etc., subjected to salting out with sodium acetate, etc. and filtered.
