Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the erroneous operation of the relay as well as to improve the reliability for the subject transformer by a method wherein a primary wiring circuit, a secondary wiring circuit and a tertiary wiring circuit are wound around the same core leg by deviating the center of the length in axial direction of these wiring circuits respectively. CONSTITUTION:A main wiring circuit 2, a subsidiary wiring circuit 3 and a tertiary wiring circuit 4 are wound on the same core leg of the core 5 in such manner that none of these wiring circuits are lapped each other and staggaring the center of the length in axial direction of the wiring circuits respectively. Then, the primary wiring circuit 1 is wound on the main wiring circuit 2, the subsidiary wiring circuit 3 and the tertiary wiring circuit 4. According to this constitution, a main magnetic flux 6 passes along the route shown by arrows even when the wiring circuit 2 is short-circuited in between terminals u1 and o1 and, therefore, almost whole of the main magnetic flux interlinks with the subsidiary wiring circuit 3 and the tertiary wiring circuit 4. Consequently, the voltage which is almost in the neighborhood of a rated voltage is induced. When three main and sibsidiary type potential transformers with a tertiary wiring circuit cinstituted as above are connected to a three-phase system, the erroneous operation of the relay connected in between open-circuited delta connection terminals can be prevented, thereby enabling to improve the reliability in the protection of the system.
