Abstract
PURPOSE:To shorten the operating time of a feed means, and not only to elevate its life but also to simplify a control mechanism of the feed means by synchronizing the operation of a developer feed means to a head tank, with the operation of a valve means for feeding a developer to the development part. CONSTITUTION:This developer feeder is different from a conventional device in respect of making the operation timing of a pump 3 synchronize with operation of a vlve 1 and executing it intermittently as shown by a timing chart and a feed quantity curve in the figure. In this case, the conditions that the liquid surface in a storing bottle 2 is kept constant and also a developer does not overflow from the part (d) are more lenient than those of a conventional device, the feed quantity of Q'P of the pump 3 can be taken fairly large, it is unnecessary to convert the frequency even if the pump 3 has been changed to an electromagnetic pump, and a commercial electric power source can be applied directly to the electromagnetic pump, by which the feed quantity of a pump is controlled easily.
