Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a solder feeder for soldering printed boards with a simple construction which ensures the stable amount of supply and the maintaining of melted solder surface at a constant height by controlling the energization to the heater on the surface position of the melted solder bath with a solder bar placed thereon.
CONSTITUTION: When the surface 2a of the melted solder 2d goes down as the solder is consumed, a float 3 moves down and a microswitch MSW is closed through a link 4 and an oscillating rode 5 to energize a heater. Consequently, the heater 13 is electrically heated so that a solder bar 16 placed on the heater 13 melts and drops down into the melted solder 2. As a result, as the surface 2a of the melted solder rises, the microswitch MSW is closed to halt the energization of the heater 13.
