Abstract
PURPOSE:To lessen effectively no-character intervals as well as to save current consumption dynamic braking a driving motor in a printer on stopping it. CONSTITUTION:A capacitor C is charged up to a fixed voltage during application of a Motor-ON signal. With a Motor OFF signal supplied, transistors T1 and T2 in a drive transistor circuit go to OFF. Through cut off of the transistor T1, the conduction between the negative pole of a supply source 12 and the base of a transistor T3 of a short, circuit transistor circuit is cut off, so that a base current is supplied to transistors T3 and T4 from the capacitor C via a resistor R2 to switch on T3 and T4. Because at this moment an enough base current IB flows from the supply source 12 to T4 via a resistor R3 and transistor T3, the transistor T4 is fully saturated, a motor 10 stops quickly by short-circuit of the armature circuit.
