Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate the setting of an oil flow rate and to enable the reduction and the simplification of a guide bearing by forming a pressure chamber via a bearing support and a partition wall at the lower part of a guide bearing support and communicating via an adequate oil hole formed at the partition wall with the pressure chamber. CONSTITUTION:In a guide bearing device of a vertical shaft rotary electric machine, a guide bearing support 25a for holding a guide bearing 27 is formed at the upper part of a guide bearing support 25, and an independently separated pressure chamber 25b is formed through a partition wall 25c at the lower part of the support 25a. An oil hole 30 of suitable size is formed at the partition wall 25c to communicate the pressure chamber 25b with the support 25a. Since the oil in an oil tank 22 is introduced from a pump hole 28 into the pressure chamber 25b, is partly exhausted from an oil exhaust tube 33, the residue is flowed through the oil hole 30 into the bearing support 25a and is agin returned into the oil tank in this manner, the oil flow rate can be readily set.
