Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a recording medium with which a high-quality pit can be formed with a low recording power with high stability of a recording film to the aging, by forming an information recording film with use of an eutectic alloy containing Bi plus Se. CONSTITUTION:An information recording film 22 is coated on a smooth main surface 21a of a light transmittable substrate (such as an acrylic substrate) 21. In such information recording medium 31, the film 22 is formed with an eutectic alloy composed of (a) Bi and (b) one kind or more of Pb, In, Cd and Sn plus a metallic layer containing Se. (The content of Se is set at 50-90atom%).
