Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate the automatic manufacturing and as well as to improve the bonding strength of coating by a method wherein the surfaces of metal sheets prior to be worked are coated beforehand with heat resisting resin such as tetrafluoroethylene or the like in the manufacture of the heating box equipped with an electric heating unit therewithin.
CONSTITUTION: The heating box consists of a middle plate 17, an upper plate 18 and a back plate 19, all made of stainless steel sheet. The surfaces of each of the plates cut into the predetermined sizes are treated with sandblasting or chemical etching to have the surface roughness of 3W5μ, coated with heat resisting resin such as tetrafluoroethylene or the like and baked by heating. Because the coated layers are formed before plastic working or assembly working, the surface treatment can be accomplished uniformly and effectively and yet the warp of the plate due to sandblasting can be prevented. Still, the coating is strong enough to facilitate the storage or transportation of the plates untio just before the assembly working.
