Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a coal pellet with excellent pressure resistance and dehydration property, by supplying powder coal into a dry pelletizer and pellitizing it by use of an oil as a binder.
CONSTITUTION: Powder coal of particle size ≤3mm is continuously supplied through belt conveyer 1 and vibrating feeder 4 to inclined rotary disc 3 of dry pelletizer 2 and at the same time a binder such as heavy oil or kerosene in tank 5 is sprayed through supply conduit 7 and oil sprayer 8 in such as amt. that the resulting pellet contains 40wt% or less binder, to pelletize the powder coal. The pellet obtd. is slurried by dispersion into water and transferred through a pipe line.
EFFECT: The pellet is so strong that it is not disintegrated in transportation through a pipeline, and has such pressure resistance tht it is not disintegrated in storage bin, a tank of a ship, etc.
