Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the responding property of an accelerator upon a partial cylinders operation by a method wherein fresh air at the up-stream of a throttle valve is introduced directly to an operating side suction air passageway. CONSTITUTION:In the suction air passageways 2, 3 of resting and operating side and the exhaust passageways 8, 9 of the resting and operating side, which are corresponding to cylinders #1-#3, #4-#6 of the resting and operating side, a fresh air intercepting valve 4 and a reverse flow preventing valve 14 are interposed in the passageways 3, 8 and the passageway 3, at the downstream of the valve 4, and the passageway at the upstream of the valve 14, are communicated by an air introducing passageway 10 interposed with a fresh air supply valve 12. The suction air passageway at the upstream of the throttle valve 1 and the passageway 3 are communicated by a bypass path 20 interposed with the second throttle valve 21. Upon a new partial cylinders operation, the valves 4, 14 are closed, the valve 12 is opened and the fresh air at the upstream of the throttle valve 1 is supplied to the cylinders #4-#6 from the passageway 20 in accordance with the opening degree of the throttle valve 21. Further, the responding property of the accelerator may be improved interlocking the valve 21 with the valve 1.
