Abstract
PURPOSE:To allow the direct manufacture of a foil from molten alloy at low manufacturing cost, by making the molten alloy constituted of Fe, Ni, Cu flow out onto a roll rotating at a high speed to prepare an alloy foil by rapid cooling and freezing. CONSTITUTION:The molten alloy 1 constituted of Fe 5-30%, Ni 10-30% and remnant Cu is made to spout directly on the roll 3 from a nozzle 2. This roll 3 should be cooled by a cooling means simultaneously to rotate to a constant direction at a high speed. The molten Cu-Ni-Fe alloy 1 spouted on this roll 3 is rapidly cooled and frozen to change into a foil 4 with thickness 20-200mum to be wound up by a take-up means.
