Abstract
PURPOSE:To indicate the residual capacity of a battery for a motorcar, an electric motorcar and the like as a value by providing a sensor prepared from an optical fiber and having a crooked part located in the electrolyte of the battery, and detecting the emitted light as an electric signal corresponding to the specific gravity of the electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:The symbol 6 in the figure represents a converting circuit which converts an electric signal obtained from a light receiving part 4 according to the specific gravity of electrolyte into the maximum value when the electric signal is the minimum, namely a battery is fully charged, and converts said signal into a digital amount.
