Abstract
PURPOSE:To intercept a gas flow in emergency when there happens earthquake or the overspeed of flow by placing a valve body onto a receiving seat disposed on its midway of the fluid path of the valve body and forming a valve seat to a current just under the receiving seat. CONSTITUTION:When there happens earthquake, a valve body 5 falls onto a valve seat 6 from a receiving seat 14, a valve hole 7 is shut and the flow of town gas is intercepted in emergency. When there happens fire, an energizing member 13 formed by a shape memory alloy extends instantaneously and the valve body 5 is dropped onto the valve seat 6 when an ambient temperature reaches some predetermined value previously determined. When the velocity of flow in a fluid flow path 4 becomes excessive, pressure difference between the upper and lower currents of the valve body 5 increases, and the valve hole 7 is shut similarly. Accordingly, the valve having a multifunction automatically intercepting the flow in emergency when there happen earthquake, fire, gas leakage and the overspeed of flow can be obtained.
