Abstract
The hydrodynamic brake vent valve remains open as long as air flow through and also so that the escape of operating fluid from the operating chamber is prevented. The vent valve (28) has a float housing (130, 132) contg. a float (135) and two connections (28a, 28b) for the vent line. One connection (28b) in the upper part of the housing has a valve seat (134) against which the float can be pressed. The specific weight of the float is so selected that it only maintains an upward thrust in pure operating fluid and not in an air-fluid mixture.
