Abstract

PURPOSE:To well control an engine in accordance with its condition, in the engine controlled with a circulation quantity of cooling water in accordance with temperature of the engine, by controlling various control devices such as an exhaust gas recirculation control device or the like in accordance with temperatures of low and high temperature parts in the engine. CONSTITUTION:In an engine 1, where rotary speed of a motor 10, that is, rotary speed of a water pump 2 is adequately controlled by a control circuit 12 in accordance with a signal of engine temperature from a sensor 13, temperature sensors 31, 32 are arranged respectively in low and high temperature parts of a cylinder block and output of each sensor 31, 32 is input to a control circuit 33. The control circuit 33 is constituted to output a signal of the mean value, corresponding to the mean value of temperatures in low and high temperature parts of the engine 1, in accordance with the signal of this mean value, an opening of a solenoid valve 29 in, for instance, an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) controller 30 is controlled. This solenoid valve 29 is provided for opening and closing an atmospheric opening 28 for a negative pressure passage 26 communicated to a negative pressure chamber 24 of an EGR valve 29.
