Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a compact and low-cost structure by providing a photoreflector which has a light emitting element emitting light to a rotary body and a photodetecting element generating a pulse signal by photodetecting a light. CONSTITUTION:A reel hyb engaging member 20 and a roatry disk 42 rotate at the same rotational frequency, and a reflection part 62 fitted to the roatry disk 42 also rotates similarly. The light emitting element 66 of a photoreflector 64, on the other hand, emits light continuously once applied with a voltage between input terminals 70 on the start of rotation. When the roatry disk 42 rotates and the reflection part 62 moves where it can reflect light from an LED66 to a phototransistor 68, the phototransistor 68 photodetects the light from the LED66 and an output voltage is taken out between output terminals 72A and 72B. This constitution detects the rotation of a reel shaft securely, miniaturizes the device since the photoreflector is used, and reduces the cost.
