Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve a detecting response of a sheet transfer condition and safety of the transfer, in a device used for a copying machine or the like, by constituting the device in such a manner that a sheet transfer condition detecting means being displayed by sheet transfer force, is provided to detect the transfer condition through detection of the displacement of said means. CONSTITUTION:Major and minor ellipses 2, 3 are provided on the passage of a sheet 1, and a surface 5 of larger friction coefficient is formed to a surface of the major sllipse 3. When a short axis of the minor ellipse 3 faces to the sheet 1, a microswitch 6 is turned off. At this off-time of the switch, if transfer of a sheet is stopped, the larger ellipse 2 is pulled by a spring 4 to hold the switch 6 in an off-state. At transfer of the sheet 1, contact force of the sheet 1 to the friction surface 5 of the major ellipse 2 can turn the major ellipse 2 to turn on the switch 6. Accordingly, despite rotation of the minor ellipse 3, the switch 6 can be always turned to an on-state. Alternate generation of on and off states shows a transfer stop condition of sheets. In this way, transfer of sheets can be surely detected, and safety can be improved.
