Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable a reliable conveyance and to simplify a device, by transferring the sheets to a given bin position in such a condition as holds sheets between the rollers after the sheets reach a sheet transfer unit which is free to move vertically.
CONSTITUTION: Sheets inserted through and an intake port 1 are fed to a sheet transfer unit 12 passing through between the nip formed by rollers 2 and 3. The unit 12 consists of grip rollers 5 and 7, a deviation guide 10, and a feed-in roller 11, the unit 12 starting to move downward when a detecting sensors 8 and 9 detect that the sheets enter into the nip formed between rollers 5 and 7. The unit 12 is located at a frame 18 having a pulley 15 secured on an axis end of the roller 5, being displaced as a result of the pulley 15 being brougth in press contact with a roller 17 through the medium of an endless drive belt 16. When the unit 12 is displaced to an inserting port of a bin 14, the sheet is inserted into the bin 14 through the deviation guide 10 by means of the feed-in roller 11.
