CONSTITUTION:A brake clutch 36 is operated simultaneously with a motor 15 made inoperative by a stop signal generated when a mark of a desired frame is detected by a mark detector 23. If rotation of a roller 32 in a brake device 30 is blocked by operation of the brake clutch 36, driction force between a microfilm F and the roler 32 causes the roller 32 to move to a transfer direction of the film F, and movement of the roller 32 causes a holding member 33 to tend to rotate about a supporting shaft 35 as the center. In this way, the holding member 33 is rocked, and the supporting shaft 35 is engaged to a long hole 33a, while a supporting shaft 34 is positioned intermediately of the long hole 33a, under this condition, movement of the roller 32 is blocked to generate drag force, and its component force works as pressing force for the roller 32, then rollers 31, 32 are forcibly contacted through the film F by the component force, thus the film F can be stopped.
