Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a roller which is simply constructed and easily manufactured by interposing a spring between a fixed shaft and a free roller, thereby to restrict rotation of the roller. CONSTITUTION:A roller 3 can be rotated to a shaft 2 by a bearing 4, the roller 3 and the shaft 2 being connected in such a manner as to restrict mutual rotations by a leaf spring 1. When the shaft 2 is fixed and the roller is rotated, the force opposite to the turning direction acts upon the roller by bending force of the leaf spring 1 so as to brake to a stop. Thus, the speed of passing an article is decreased, and after passing, the roller is reversed by restitution of the spring and restored to the initial state.
