Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the length of flame in the burner by an arrangement wherein a primary combustion chamber is formed between a primary and a secondary flame plates, one of which is superposed on the other and a secondary air intake port is provided at one of the primary flame plate, and to improve the heat efficiency of the burner by converting a part of the combustion heat into radiation heat. CONSTITUTION:The burner 3 for use in a gas range has a mixture pipe 7 which has at one end a gas nozzle 6 inserted through a primary air adjustor 8, and is formed in a burner head 10 at the other end. At the top of the burner head 10, a primary flame plate 11 is mounted so as to form a mixture chamber between these members 10 and 11. On the primary flame plate 11, a secondary flam plate 14 is mounted so as to form the primary combustion chamber 15 between these plates 11 and 14. On a side wall 17 of the secondary flame plate 14, a secondary flame hole 18 is formed, where unburnt matter produced in a primary combustion flame 16 within the primary combustion chamber 15 is burnt to form a secondary combustion flame 19.
