Abstract

PURPOSE: To make the gap between the parts to be bonded uniform, and to improve the workability and finishing process, by attaching a rust preventive adhesive film to a steel plate to be bonded, contacting the other plate to be bonded closely to the rust preventive adhesive film, and heating the whole assembly.
CONSTITUTION: For example, a rust preventive agent (containing epoxy resin, etc. as the base resin) 3 is formed by extrusion molding to a film having a thickness of 600μ and a width of narrower than that of the surface to be bonded, and is pressed and fixed to the bonding face 2 of the flange of a wheel house inner panel 1. The bonding face 5 of a wheel house outer panel 4 is brought into contact with the surface of the rust preventive film, and the bonding faces 2, 5 are welded together by spot welding. As an alternative example, the rust preventive adhesive film is attached to the hemming part 11 (the part to be bonded) of the outer panel 10 of a door, putting the flange 14 of the door inner panel 13 on the adhesive film, hemming the flange of the outer panel so as to wrap the flange of the inner panel, and welding both panels by spot welding.
