Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a varied three-dimensional pattern by applying raising and embossing treatments to a thermoplastic synthetic fiber raised cloth by a transfer printing method. CONSTITUTION:A desired pattern is printed on the surface of a printing paper by using a high-molecular compound paste or emulsion softening and having a weak bonding force at an adequate temperature, e.g., a copolymer composed primarily of a cellulosic ester, etc., to form a transfer printing paper A. Then, the transfer printing face B of the printing paper A is put upon the raised surface C of a thermoplastic synthetic fiber cloth and hot-pressed in such a way as to cause the high polymer part of the printed pattern to soften and bond and also the raised fiber of the cloth to be deformed plastically, whereby forming embossed pattern throughout. After the hot pressing, the transfer paper is peeled off immediately before the raised fiber is hardened by cooling, and only the patterned part is again raised by utilizing the bonding force and tensile strength of the printed part in order to obtain a desired pattern.
