Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain comparatively deep concave parts on thermoplastic film and to prevent its thermal deformation by embossing the film using the embossing projections of specified size heated to the temperature above the softening point or m.p. of the film.
CONSTITUTION: The embossing projections enabling to form concave parts of 0.2W 0.8mm opening diameter on a plastic film surface are fabricated using stainless steel or other metal capable to raise the temperature. By the embossing projection heated to the temperature higher than the softening point or m.p. of a thermo-plastic resin films, the resin film is embossed so as to make the total opening area of thus formed concave parts to range 7W30% of the film area. By said procedure the concave parts having large ratio of depth VS. diameter are formed, then on the manufacture of the laminates using such film an adhesive can penetrate deeply into the concave parts and the laminate molding excellent adhesion strength is obtained.
