Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a decorative material with protuberances and recesses as well as a pattern harmoneous with the protuberances and recesses, by a method wherein a protuberant pattern is provided on a sheet formed substrate by building up an ink, then a pattern is provided thereon to constitute an embossing sheet and the embossing sheet is placed on a decorative material and pressed against the latter. CONSTITUTION:The protuberant pattern 6 is produced on the sheet formed substrate 5 by building up an ink, then a releasably treated layer 7 is provided thereon and desired patterns 8, 9 are further provided on the layer 7 to constitute the embossing sheet 10. The embossing sheet 10 is placed on the decorative material 11, with the pattern side of the sheet 10 faced to the decorative material 11, and the sheet 10 is pressed against the material 11. Accordingly, the surface of the decorative material 11 can be provided with the protuberances and recesses, and simultaneously, the pattern harmoneous with the protuberances and recesses can be transferred onto the surface of the decorative material 11.
