Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve cooling of a piston, by forming honeycombed cooling holes in the inside of a piston-top, fixedly placing a pipe in the cooling hole, communicating the cooling hole to an inside of the pipe through a cooling liquid passage and providing said cooling liquid passage in the vicinity of the cooling hole bottom part of said pipe. CONSTITUTION:A cooling liquid inlet passage 11 and outlet passage are provided in the inside of a piston rod 5, and the inlet passage 11 is communicated to an internal space 12, formed by hardware 4 in the inside of a piston-top, through a communication pipe 13. A pipe 15 is combined to the internal hardware 4 through a hole 16, and this pipe 15 is protruded into a honeycombed cooling hole 14 provided in the piston-top 3, further a cooling liquid passage 17, communicating the inside of said pipe 15 to the cooling hole 14, is provided in the vicinity of the bottom part of the cooling hole 14. Accordingly, cooling liquid is fed to the bottom part of the cooling hole 14, and cooling of a piston can be improved.
