Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent an engine from increasing its speed to at least a preset value at operation of a resuming mechanism, by providing a detecting means of a rotary speed of the engine. CONSTITUTION:A set switch 2, coast switch 3, resume switch 4, in a car speed control device, and a car speed switch 5, for detecting a car speed, are connected to a controller 1. While as a release device, an engine speed sensor 7, brake switch 8 and clutch switch 9 and connected to the controller 1, and a pulse wave of an ignition coil 6 is input to the engine speed sensor 7. Output of the controller 1 is connected to an actuator 10 to control an opening of a throttle valve 14 in a carburetor 13 through a rod 12. Accordingly, when a car speed is resettably controlled by a resuming mechanism, speed of an engine can be prevented from rising to at least a limit.
