Abstract
PURPOSE: To maintain the idling speed at the fixed value and prevent the engine speed drop during the shift from idling state to running state by a method wherein there is provided a control unit to driving-control the electromagnetic actuator connected to a control sleeve.
CONSTITUTION: There is provided the control unit 31 which consists of a control sleeve position operating circuit 32 to calculate the control sleeve position to attain the optimum governing characteristics in accordance with the operating condition of the engine by means of the driving-control of the electromagnetic actuator connected to the control sleeve or the like. The idling state is detected by an accelerator switch 40. When the actual engine speed N detected by the switch 40 is lower than the target idling speed N0, an R-S flip flop circuit 45 is set to give a Q output "1" (when N>N0, "0") and a virtual accelerator pedal position signal S15 is input as the signal indicating the accelerator pedan position to the circuit 31 and the engine is brought into the governing idle state to control the engine speed at the desired value N0 by governing.
