Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent increase of smoke and HC produced in acceleration by maintaining the opening of a controlling valve larger than that corresponding to decrease of fuel injection amount.
CONSTITUTION: In accelerating operation of a transmission, depression of an accelerator pedal 15 is reduced, injection amount of a fuel injection pump 9 reduced and detecting signal of a injection amount detector 16 reduced so that the detecting signal is added to comparators 18, 19 with time constant (R1+R2)×C. when the depression of the accelerator pedal 15 is not increased for a sufficient time longer than said time constant, a motor 6 is reversed to reduce the opening of a controlling valve 4 and stops finally. On the contrary when operation is completed within a time shorter than said time constant and the pedal 15 is again depressed, the signal of the detector 16 is delayed by a delay circuit 22 so that the opening of the controlling valve 4 is maintained larger than that corresponding to the reduction of injection amount.
