Abstract
PURPOSE: To lower the vibration of vehicle body that is caused at the time of fuel cut, by incorporating in a fuel-cut system a delay means for transmitting a control signal from a deceleration detecting means to a valve means for opening and closing a slow-speed fuel passage with delay of a prescribed time period.
CONSTITUTION: In a fuel-cut system for an internal combustion engine, in which a solenoid valve 4 on-off controlled by a signal from a deceleration switch 5 serving as a means for detecting the state that a throttle valve 2 is fully closed and the engine speed is lower than a predetermined level is provided at a portion of a slow- speed fuel passage 3, a delay circuit 7 is interposed between the solenoid valve 4 and deceleration switch 5. The delay circuit 7 is composed of a capacitor C and a resisance R for forming a time-constant circuit for determining the timing of on-off switching of the solenoid valve 4, a first NAND circuit 8 for switching electric power for operating the time-constant circuit through ON-OFF switching of the deceleration switch 5, a second NAND circuit 9 for effecting ON-OFF switching of the solenoid valve 4 by the output of the time-constant circuit, and an amplifier 10.
