Abstract
PURPOSE: To maintain air inlet temperature highly accurately within the determined value in such a way that an outer air inlet path and a warm-up air inlet path are converted to each other and controlled by duty cycles in response to the air inlet temperatures.
CONSTITUTION: A three-way electromagnetic valve 11 to open and close warm-up air and outer air inlet paths 4, 6, and an air inlet path 7 equipped with a temperature detecting element 15 is controlled by a control unit 18. When the detecting temperature of the element 15 is lower than the air inlet temperature which is demanded by the engine which is memorized in the unit 18, the (C) terminal 11c and the (A) terminal 11a of the three-way electromagnetic valve 11 are communicated by ON signal of the unit 18 in order to communicate the negative pressure in the air inlet manifold 17 to a valve 9, opens the path 4, and closes the path 6, and when the detecting temperature is high, reverse action can be done by OFF signals from the unit 18. When difference of the both temperature dwindles, duty cycles in the ON, OFF signals from the unit 18, and accurate control can be performed.
