Abstract

PURPOSE:To adjust automatically the play of a braking operating apparatus of an autobicycle so as to prevent the over-adjustment, by threading an ajusting bolt by the movement of an inner wire in addition to a predetermined amount, and actuating an adjusting bolt threading stop member by an outer wire compression by an excessive pulling power. CONSTITUTION:When the play of the inner wire Wi becomes excessive, by the pulling of the inner wire Wi to the left an actuator 21 rotates a lever greatly clockwise, and ratchet clicks 18 are rotated by one pitch or more of teeth 1 of a ratchet 11. Accordingly, when the braking is released, the clicks 18 rotate an adjuster 8 through the ratchet 11, and the adjusting bolt 2 is threaded to withdraw the inner wire Wi and to adjust the play. By an excessive operation power the outer wire W0 is compressed, and by the compression deformation of a plate spring 14 associated thereto a bearing section 9 and a stopper plate 12 are forced to abut so that the adjuster 8 is prevented from rotating. Thus, the overadjustment can be prevented. Accordingly, the play can be automatically adjusted and the over-adjustment can be prevented.
