Abstract

PURPOSE:To forecast the water level of a pump well with a high precision, by applying the theory of Kalman filter for the forecast intended for the rainfall changed every moment. CONSTITUTION:The sewage from a conduit 1 is flowed into a pump well 4 through a sand sedimentation basin 2 and a screen 3. A pump group 5 pumps up the sewage stored in the pump well 4 into a sewage disposal equipment 6. The pump well 4 is provided with a pump well water gauge 7, and the pump group is so operated that the water level is held in a range between an upper limit value 10 and a lower limit value 11. A discharge flowmeter 8 is provided for the pump group 5, and the discharge flow rate and the value of the water gauge 7 are operated in a computer 9, and results are used to start or stop pumps so that the actual pump operation state coincides with a pump operation state selected by an incorporated algorithm.
