Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable even an unexperienced person to surely control the operation of pumps by retrieving each control rule stored in a knowledge storage means based on the forecasted value of the water level of a pumpwell to infer the number of pumps to be operated and the pump quantity control timing and controlling the operation of pumps in accordance with inference results. CONSTITUTION:The estimate value of the pumpwell inflow rate is calculated by a pumpwell water level forecasting means 11, and the forecasted value of the pumpwell water level is calculated in accordance with this estimate value, the water level detection signal from a pumpwell water gauge 8, and the outflow rate detection signal from an outflow flowmeter 9. Respective rules stored in a knowledge base 12 are retrieved on the basis of this forecasted value by a pump inference control means 13 to infer the number of pumps to be operated out of pumps 5-1-5-n and the pump quantity control timing, and the operation of pumps 5-1-5-n is controlled in accordance with inference results.
