This detection signal is introduced to a control circuit, resulting in that a recorder/reproducer is set to a no signal recording state, the tape is driven in a constant speed. When the tape position detector 49 detects a joint C being a boundary between the L1 and the magnetic tape M, a pause instruction signal is outputted from the control circuit with this detection signal, and the run of the tape is stopped for the pause state.
