Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a constant current with stable operation simply, by setting an offset voltage to a differential amplifier and comparing a potential difference generated across a current detecting resistor. CONSTITUTION:An MOS transistor TR12 for voltage controlling and a registor 13 for current detection are connected in series with an input terminal 11 and another end of the resistor 13 is grounded, where a current flowing to a point C and a point A is represented respectively as IA and IC, Rs represent a resistance value of the resistor 13, and potentials across the resistor 13 are represented respectively as VA and VB. When a voltage Vc at a point C is increased, the current Ic is increased and since the resistance value Rs of the resistor 13 is constant, the potential difference VA-VB>1 is obtained. Thus, an output voltage VD of an amplifier 14 goes to L level to increase the impedance of the TR12 and to decrease the current IC. Inversely, when the voltage VC drops, VA-VB<1 is obtained, the impedance of the TR12 is lowered, and the current IC is increased. Thus, the constant current control can be exercised.
