Abstract
PURPOSE:To control easily to the temperature distribution suitable for the bending and to reduce the occurring rate of the defective form, by performing the final heating for the bending of the valve sequentially by means of a gas oven and an electric oven. CONSTITUTION:At the stopping position of a moving member rotating intermittently, the upper end of a linear valve 3 made of the soda glass or low lead glass is secured by a chuck provided on the moving member 1. Then said valve 3 is gradually softened thermally by means of an oven 4 due to the rotation of the moving member 1. Thereafter at the position of III, it is surrounded by the gas oven 5 and heated to the proper temperature reliably. Furthermore at the position IV, it is surrounded by the electric oven 7 and heated finally to produce the optimal temperature distribution for the bending. When the valve 3 is carried to the position V, the lower end of the valve is held by the chuck provided on the forming roller 8 thus to bend into the circle. Consequently the occurrence of the defective form can be reduced considerably.
