Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a commutating circuit, by connecting two thyristors in series with a commutation condenser in-between and by igniting one thyristor in accordance with the ignition of the other thyristor. CONSTITUTION:Each of two thyristors 11 and 18 are inversely connected to a thyristor 14 in series with a commutation condenser 15 of a commutating circuit 10 in-between. Therefore, when only the thyristor 14 is triggered through a flash stop signal generating device 16', the thyristor 11 is not triggered at the same time. The thyristor 11 is triggered by the inverse bias of the thyristor 18 and its flashing is stopped through a main thyristor 4 connected to a discharge tube 3. By making such an arrangement that the decision when the flashing is to be stopped is performed only by triggering one thyristor in the commutating circuit, the constitution of the commutating circuit of the electronic flashing device becomes simpler.
